I have taught at West Marion Elementary School for twenty four years. I have worked with the Smithsonian for three years as a facilitator for i3 Laser science kits. I am also Nationally Certified. I believe children should be engaged in real world activities that connect with our world. I also am a strong believer that children should spend time outdoors learning about the environment. I want students to let their imagination run wild by building forts and traveling to different parts of the world in their own backyard. I want students to know the trees in their own backyard and become more connected with nature.
I am the mother of three beautiful children. My eldest daughter, Abigale, who attends Appalachian State University. My son, Eli, is twelve years old, and my youngest, Georgia Rose is nine years old. I have two dogs, one cat, and one guinea pig named, Bubba.
