Welcome to Mrs. Macdonald's (Mrs. Mac's) Third Grade Thinkers' Page!
In our classroom we are learning how to be independent WRITERS, READERS, PROBLEM SOLVERS, SCIENTISTS, and THINKERS We all love a great story and we have read many stories already! Ask your Third Grade Thinker about: "Tacky the Penguin"; "The Man Who Walked between the Two Towers"; "New York's Bravest"; "The Three Wishes"; "Boomtown"; "Fourteen Cows for America"; "Alexander Who Was Rich Last Sunday"; "Wilford Gordon Partridge McDonald"; "Leaf Man"; "Frog and Toad". We love to read and we know good readers grow into good writers and great students! We read and write and think every single day!
We will be writing our own stories soon....our autobiography! I will be asking you questions about the day I was born and all the cute things I did as a baby! I will also be putting together a "MEMORY BOX"----a shoebox with 5 objects or pictures that help tell my story!
Every week each THIRD GRADE THINKER has a new Spelling List and a Spelling Contract. I choose assignments from the Spelling Contract to complete. These are due on Friday and turned in to Mrs. Mac. I should be reading at least 20 minutes every night.
